Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre consists of three pools, spa and sauna, 3 sports halls, crèche, function and meeting rooms and a health spa. Belmont Oasis is one of the larger multipurpose leisure centres in Perth. It attracts in excess of 420,000 visits per year and offers a wide range of recreational and sporting needs. During 2002/2003 financial year, Belmont Oasis invested in excess of $40,000 in staff training, with two Managers recently obtaining Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training. Anne Farren has a vision to see the integration and cooperation between Western Australia textile art, design and fashion and for the innovative local practices of the WA TCF&L industry to be recognised both nationally and internationally. In Anne's quest for this vision she has embarked on an amazing journey to achieve many personal and professional goals. Some of her achievements include owning her own textile design business for 18 years where she has received numerous national & international awards and frequently travels overseas to exhibit or judge. Anne was co-founder of the WA Fibre & Textile Association and in 2001 was appointed as the Coordinator and Senior Lecturer of Fashion and Design Course at Curtin University. Anne Farren has also been actively involved in the establishment of an International Fibre Conference titled 'the HUM' to be staged in Perth in 2004 and is a very worthy recipient of the inaugural TCF Achiever Award.

In 1997 Bob and Lisa Buckleton bought a run-down Phantom II Rolls-Royce as a treat for themselves. After a fair amount of work the car's appearance changed dramatically and on weekend pursuits they were finding that the car attracted so much attention that they were literally being stopped in the street to be asked if the car was for hire.
