INTERNATIONAL FASHION CONFERENCE HEADS TO PERTH
Carol Hanlon, Founding Manager of TCFWA, Designedge Fashion Incubator and Belmont BEC is delighted to announce that the 3rd International Fashion Incubator Conference will be held in Perth, September 2011 during the staging of Perth Fashion Festival. The International Conference will offer new opportunities for fashion business educators and fashion trade events from around the globe to network, discuss best practice and expand global designer marketing and promotional opportunities. The event will also launch an International Fashion Incubator Organisation that will form strategic alliances, share networks and develop new opportunities for Fashion Incubators and its designer members. GRANTS FOR EXPORTERS - LAST CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The EMDG grant provides cash refunds of almost 50% of international marketing costs and is available to many organisations that promote their goods, services or intellectual Property overseas. MYSTICAL LOTUS FASHION SHOW 2009
held on 7th November 2009 at the Perth Town Hall was a total blast. There were 23 saree productions by WA Institute of Fashion & Design (Swan TAFE) showcased. Most importantly, the event was able to raise $20,000 for St. Vinnie's school support program (12k last year). On top of that, the designers donated their prize money. Congratulations to Asha Selvendra, event manager, and her volunteer team for organising such a wonderful event! Thank you for all the generous donations.
